Privacy Policy
Privacy First By Default
ClearMorning is designed to support alcohol reduction and recovery without turning personal data into the product. The current mobile build is local-first and stores profile data, logs, morning check-ins, and reminder preferences on the user's device unless the user explicitly shares or exports it.
What We Collect
In the current release, ClearMorning does not require account creation and does not collect cloud-hosted user profiles by default.
- Name, goal mode, reminders, logs, and check-ins are stored locally on-device.
- Optional support contact details are stored locally so the user can open prewritten SMS or email drafts.
- Notification permission status may be checked to schedule local reminders on the device.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not use third-party ad tracking in the current product build.
- We do not automatically transmit drinking logs or morning check-ins to a remote server in the current local-first version.
When Data Leaves The Device
Data only leaves the device when the user takes an explicit action, such as:
- Sharing an export from the Privacy screen.
- Opening an SMS or email draft to contact a support person.
- Using system-level share sheets to send a weekly recap or reminder text.
Notifications
ClearMorning can schedule local reminders on the device to support a tonight plan or a next-morning reflection. Notification permissions are optional and can be changed in device settings at any time.
Health And Safety Note
ClearMorning is a wellness and recovery support tool. It is not a substitute for urgent medical care, emergency support, or supervised treatment for severe alcohol withdrawal. If you are in immediate danger or have severe withdrawal symptoms, contact local emergency services or a qualified medical professional.
Updates
We may update this policy as the product adds accounts, analytics, subscriptions, or cloud sync. Material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
